Are you bored in the house? Are you in the house bored? What better way to pass the time than by trying some new wine?!
Corona has thrown some serious curveballs, but it’s my hope that you’re finding ways to cope during this time. Originally, I planned to share my recent travels but decided that recapping my travels while many of us are adhering to stay at home orders was a cruel and unusual punishment. So instead, I’ll be bringing you a series of quarantine shorts that I like to call QuaranTINE & Wine, where I’ll review a new wine each week.
On this first installment of QuaranTINE and Wine: a 2018 Capital Lodi Zinfandel
Tonight, I was in the mood for a juicy red and this Zinfandel didn’t disappoint. With a description that claimed to be juicy and bold with hints of mocha and spice, I immediately reached for my favorite pairing, dark chocolate. At first taste, with a clean palate, I was instantly surprised by the spice and aroma that filled my nose. This wine delivered in all the right places. A variety of notes danced in my mouth and with each sip a delightful bouquet and a smooth finish. If I’m being honest, I don’t usually reach for a Zinfandel, but after tonight, that just might change.
What have you been sipping on during this quarantine and how are you holding up?
I hope you’re finding the space to explore, create and try something new—if not be sure to give yourself some much-needed R&R. You deserve it.
Wishing you and your loved ones well during this time.
Stay safe and sip something new.

May 21, 2020Oh, this wine sounds delicious! I will have to try it. I just recently started living dark chocolate. Dark chocolate and this wine sounds like a great way to end a day at home.
